Cappadocia

As an addendum to the previous post about carved-out dwellings, I thought it useful to show historical examples of carved spaces and “cliff dwellings”.

Cappadocia, Turkey, has carved dwellings dating back to early Christian times. The softer volcanic sediment stone permitted complex and extensive excavation for occupation.
