blog powerpointOur building was the Vontz Center for Molecular Studies by Frank Gehry. This building is located in Cincinnati, Ohio and was built in 1997-99. Through our study of the images and discussion amongst our group before departure, we concluded that light would play a major role in the interior spatial experience. The large windows and skylight are allows for large amounts of natural lighting. In addition the windows are accented by the curving geometry of the building and by the change in materials with reflective mullions. In person our experience was a quick loop around the structure while remaining in the bus. Seeing the building in 3D as opposed to 2D helped us appreciate the volume of space it occupies.
